MEET THE TEAM
As respected figures in the commercial property market, the team provides over 100 years of combined experience. Our commitment to an impartial advisory service ensures high quality and independent advice is delivered to clients in every instance.
Prior to forming Springford & Co in 2002 Charlie was the MD of DTZ’s (now Cushman Wakefield) Scottish business increasing turnover threefold during his tenure. His career has been mainly forged as an advisor but for 4 years he was on the client side, both as a fund manager as well as heading up BRPB Scotland.
Charlie has extensive experience across the investment and development markets in acquisitions, disposals, portfolio management and bank financing activities, representing an extensive range of clients. He has led corporate acquisitions and provided strategic advices to both private and public sector bodies on large scale property estates and complex development situations. Charlie has also acted as expert witness on both planning and valuation matters.
Monica joined Springford as a Director in 2003, and has over 27 years commercial property experience. Starting her career at Edward Erdman she subsequently moved to DTZ, then joined Donaldsons as Partner and Head of Professional Advisory Services in Scotland – one of only a few female Partners at that time! Monica’s experience included large portfolio/fund and bank valuations, as well as forming and implementing the rent review/lease renewal strategies for numerous major shopping centres.
At Springford Monica has expanded our advisory capacity on asset management; including agency, lease renewal/regears and lease consultancy across all market sectors. She frequently acts as an Expert Witness/Advocate, has in-depth knowledge of arbitration processes and is an experienced Member of the RICS Chairman’s Panel of Independent Experts in Scotland.
Monica’s skills and market experience has also led her to act on several investment acquisitions and disposals on behalf of longstanding clients.
She is also a Trustee of Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre, Lochgoil in Argyll.
